Janie Emery is regarded as one of the nation's leading portrait painters. Her paintings can be found in over 300 collections with patrons including generals, senators, congressman, justices, executives, doctors, private collectors, and leaders in the arts and philanthropic foundations.
Janie is a founding member of the Portrait Society of America Inc., a charter member of the Portrait Institute, New York; and also, a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, Montgomery, Alabama. Many of her clients' portraits are documented and archived in the library of the Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC.
